RB Slab
Resin bonded Rockwool Slab (RBS) of Density 48 to 144 Kg/m3 LION ROCK WOOL Lightly Resin Bonded Rockwool Slabs of densities 48, 64, 96, 128, 144 and 150 Kg/m3 and thicknesses of 25mm, 40mm, 50mm, 65mm, 75mm & 100mm conforming to IS:8183
Rock Wool Slab
Mineral wool / Rock Wool slab is a precisely engineered bonded fibrous insulation that offers maximum resistance to the passage of heat. Mineral wool fibres are spun from selected rocks, melted at 15000C and blended to a carefully adjusted chemical composition. Its centrifugally spun fibres have a diameter 3 to 6 micron. These are felted using state-of-the art technology into bonded and cured slabs to optimum density and resilience.
Slab Grades: Group I / II / III / I V Service temperature: (-) 1000C to 7500 C
Specification Conformance:
Mineral Wool / Rock Wool slabs manufactured from selected rocks to state of art specification fully conform to local and international standard such as :-
- IS: 8183-1993
- BS: 3958 Part -5
- ASTM C 553
Application
Bonded slabs are aesthetically engineered for a wide range of applications at both high & low service temperatures and are preferred to use on both flat & slightly curved surfaces for economics and effective insulation on thermal, acoustical and fire protection. Bonded Slabs are widely used in industries for boilers, tanks, vessels, ovens, furnaces, bulkheads and ship deck etc.
